Las Vegas Hard Rock Hotel & Casino to be expanded
Las Vegas Hard Rock Hotel & Casino will undergo a large-scale expansion and renovation, as announced by Morgans Hotel Group Co. and DLJ Merchant Banking Partners, owners of the facility.

The expansion will include approximately 950 new guest rooms, a 60,000 square-foot meeting and convention room, an all-suite 15 story tower, and more than 35,000 square feet of casino space. Also, the Hard Rock’s award-winning pool will be expanded and several beverage outlets will be added.

As part of the project, a new spa and a health club plus a new and larger “Joint” will be built. The existing suites and common areas will be refurbished to achieve MHG’s best-in-class brand standard. The project will start this year and will be fully completed by mid-2009.

The expansion has been commissioned to Klai Juba Architects.
